Famous Nigerian singer Asa has sent a notice of copyright infringement to Joseph Akinfewa, also known as Joeboy.

The Lawyers representing Asa noted that Asa created the song’s composition in a recording session with Tempoe, which took place on 22nd September 2020.

The letter also disclosed that their client didn’t grant permission for Joeboy and Tempoe to utilize said composition.

Asa’s lawyers solicited that the song is taken off all DSPs within 24 hours of receiving the letter.

In addition, they also demanded that Joeboy and Tempoe address an apology to their client for the copyright breach.

As a remedy for the damages, Asa is seeking N300million in damages and a 60% cut of the split sheet.
