Andrew Garfield’s New 2024 Movie Gets One Of His Best Career Audience Score On Rotten Tomatoes

We Live in Times audience score has been revealed. Premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival last month, We Live in Time is a sweeping romance story about the relationship between Almut and Tobias, two people who have an unexpected meet-cute. As their lives and romance unfold over a decade, the two grapple with a serious issue as Almut’s health takes a turn. We Live in Time features a leading cast including Andrew Garfield, Florence Pugh, Grace Delaney, Lee Braithwaite, Aoife Hinds, Adam James, Douglas Hodge, and Amy Morgan.

Now that the film has been released, the Rotten Tomatoes audience score has been revealed for We Live in Time. At the time of writing, the film’s audience Popcornmeter holds an impressive 88% score with over 250 verified ratings. This is higher than the film’s Tomatometer, but that score is still positive at a Certified Fresh 80%. The Tomatometer is composed of reviews from 133 critics. The audience score is still subject to change as the film is still in theaters.

In terms of audience responses, viewers liked the performances of the leading duo, Pugh and Garfield. Audiences also noted how deeply emotional the film was, with several fans noting how it made them cry. People also called it “a true love story” and complimented the movie’s romantic arc. We Live in Time‘s critical reviews echoed similar sentiments, with Globe and Mail‘s Johanna Schneller writing, “Pugh’s fierceness and Garfield’s ready access to emotion make them a good match” in the film.

Andrew Garfield’s Best Movies, Ranked

From The Social Network to Hacksaw Ridge to Martin Scorsese’s Silence, Andrew Garfield has starred in some terrific movies throughout his career.

We Live in Time‘s strong audience score is also notable in Garfield’s career. Sitting at an 88% Popcornmeter, We Live in Time is among Garfield’s highest-rated movies in terms of audience score. The only titles to come in above it are Tick, Tick…Boom! and Hacksaw Ridge. We Live in Time came in right above 2007’s Boy A and David Fincher’s acclaimed biographical film The Social Network.

Predicting We Live in Time’s Award Success

Both Pugh And Garfield Could Get Oscar Nods

With all the praise levied towards the main performances in We Live in Time, it seems likely that Pugh and Garfield may end up Oscar-nominated for their roles. Garfield has been nominated twice before, and both nominations were for his other two high audience score films, Tick, Tick…Boom! and Hacksaw Ridge. Despite his nominations, Garfield did not win either time, so We Live in Time could be his chance not only for a third nomination, but for a win. Looking at the upcoming movies, I think it will be a competitive year, but a Garfield nomination is very possible.
