Thomas Tuchel makes six changes from our weekend win over West Ham, with Mason Mount, Kai Havertz, Ben Chilwell and Cesar Azpilicueta also back in the starting 11.

Kepa is between the posts behind an expected back three of Wesley Fofana, Kalidou Koulibaly and Azpilicueta, with Reece James and Ben Chilwell at wing-back, the latter making his 50th Chelsea start following a match-changing cameo against the Hammers.

Aubameyang leads the attack alongside Raheem Sterling and Havertz, while Mount and Mateo Kovacic are in midfield, the latter making his return to former club Dinamo Zagreb.

Aubameyang is an outstanding player. When you’re looking for a short-term option, he was the name that jumped out. He does everything Chelsea needs – he gets on the shoulder, he’s a finisher, he’s a proven goalscorer. It’s a great bit of business.

However, this is a club that reached the 2020-21 Europa League quarter-finals and recorded wins over West Ham United and Sevilla in last year’s tournament.
